Candidate Statement My name is Bill Newberry and I am running for the Corona-Norco Unified School District Board of Education. I have a deep passion for education and I know it’s of vital importance in building a bright future for our children and grandchildren. I am running to ensure that our system is working at its absolute optimal level, and I will use my leadership and business skills to help our District reach its true potential. I am devoted to my family, and as a father of three I understand the concerns and challenges facing parents today. I will work to support families by fighting for the very best opportunities for success for all of our children. I have shown my commitment to our schools as president of the Corona-Norco Schools Educational Foundation. Under my leadership, the Foundation has raised over $225,000 dollars to directly benefit students of this District and our community. Because of my proven commitment to our students, I have earned the endorsements of Riverside County Supervisor John Tavaglione, the Corona-Norco Teachers Association, the Corona Police and Fire Associations the Norco Fire Association, and many others.
